Dos77 Original

As a follow-up to its debut, Chogüi released the Dos77 in July 2015, a cigar with a unique tie-in to the Primera Edición. As the story goes, during the drive between the undisclosed factory in Tamboril where the Primera Edición was made and the destination of Santo Domingo, one box of cigars was lost: box number 277. That lost box became the inspiration for the sophomore release, Dos77, or 277. It also became the basis for the date that the cigars would go on sale in the Dominican Republic: July 27, or 27/7 in one stylization.

Papa Chogüí

The Papa Chogüí to commemorate Dominican Father’s Day. As for the cigar, it’s a 5 1/4 x 46 corona extra that was rolled in 2014 using all Dominican tobacco from Leo Reyes. Was made available in the US in November 2017.

In November 2015, to celebrate our one year anniversary, we commemorated the occasion with a cigar. Measuring 5 1/2 x 46, the new corona gorda was named Primeraño, a moniker based off primer año, which is Spanish for first year. Primeraño draws inspiration from the Dominican tradition of men buying their girlfriends flowers after the first year of dating.

The cigar used a Dominican sun grown wrapper and binder over Dominican corojo filler, with the blend designed to be a bolder smoke than what the company has featured to date. The filler was a mix of viso and ligero, with no seco used at all. Total production of 3,000
